Freie Universität's Department of Law offers an English-language master's program on European and International Business, Competition and Regulatory Law (MBL-FU). The program attracts a diverse student body from all over the world with professional backgrounds in business law who seek to deepen their understanding of European and international business and regulatory law. Lecturers in the program are highly regarded and reputable experts in their fields from a variety of institutions and jurisdictions. As it stands, the program has prepared many generations of students for careers in law firms, companies, government authorities, and other organizations. More information on the program is available at www.mbl-fu.de. Job description: You will serve as the academic director of the program. Your responsibility is to plan and develop the curriculum together with the program coordinator, to offer lectures and to supervise and support participants in academic matters relating to their studies. You will build and maintain the international network of instructors and alumns. You will also be expected to take a leading role in further developing the program towards the department's strategic objectives. The position is meant to provide you an opportunity to further develop your academic record by conducting independent research, including possibly pursuing the 'habilitation.' It is our ambition that, at the expiration of your contract, you will be well equipped and qualified to fill a professorial position at a leading university in Germany or abroad.
